Completed in 1931 the dam made the Lake of the Ozarks. The entire length of Lake of the Ozarks, including all major tributaries and long coves, is approximately 180 miles. The shoreline measures 1,100 miles and is longer than the Pacific coastline of California.

This magnificent cave contains a stalactite studded room that is reserved for weddings. In addition cave tours to Mystery Lake and the beautiful chambers leave every few minutes and last approximately an hour. Pathways are concrete and the cave is 60 degrees year round.

Jacobs Cave is the largest walk through cave in Missouri and is handicapped and stroller accessible. Numerous rare geologic formations abound in this cave as well as a beautiful pool. The cave is open year round.

This State Parks most famous claim to fame is the immense ruin of a castle built by Kansas City businessman Robert Snyder in the early 1900's and completed by his sons. Other outbuildings plus a large natural coliseum and natural bridges combine with the breathtaking view of the lake and surrounding countryside to make this a memorable visit.

Royal Theatre is a community theatre in Versailles, Missouri, operated by the Royal Arts Council. The theatre building was built in 1931 and seats 300. The theatre was converted from movies to live entertainment, including stage plays and musical acts, in 1981. Call for more information.

Swinging bridge over Grand Auglaize Creek on Swinging Bridges Road (Lake Road 42-18) southwest of Brumley, this historic 500 ft. long bridge was built in 1931 by Joseph Dice who left school in the fourth grade but managed to build 40 local bridges. The area is an excellent spot for just fooling around in the creek a well know Missouri weekend pastime.
